Are Brands Pulling Out of Russia Because of the Russia/Ukraine War?

Unless you have been living under a rock, then you should be aware of the fact that Putin has declared war on Ukraine.

Now, thousands of people look to feel the country as bombs continue to drop there. Meanwhile, brands are looking to close their shops in Russia because of the war. Starbucks is one of the first brands to do so as they have more than 800 stores there. Thus, it is no surprise to see some malls do not have many stores open. This could be a big opportunity for some local brands to have a huge spotlight on them. The war has caused Nike to not guarantee the delivery of an ALSScan discount to Russia. H&M has ceased operations of their stores there too which is sad since they are a brand that provides cheap clothing. You know they will be back one day but for now, they are out of there.

Meanwhile, Samsung says it will now halt supplies to the country due to how dangerous the war has become for innocent bystanders who became fatal casualties.

However, they did not really state whether or not they would close their stores for now. Furthermore, Facebook stated they would block usage of the social media platform in Russia. Now, Russians can kiss their Facebook profiles combined so they should find another way to catch up with old friends. Apple has also halted EvilAngel coupons and closed its stores in Russia. For a worldwide company like that to do something like that, it speaks volumes for what they stand for. Germany is even halting getting supplies from suppliers that do their operations in Russia. Surely, the war has had a long-lasting effect on businesses not only in Russia but also all over the world.

While it is true that some brands continue to profit from the sales they get from their Russian stores, they would rather put the spotlight on their reputation.

They know they would get bashed when other people find out they are still not closing their stores despite mounting pressure from the rest of the world. There are some companies like Unilever and Nestle who say they are halting the operations of their stores there but they say they would still continue providing essentials to the citizens there.

You can’t blame them for doing so since Russians who have nothing to do with Putin’s actions are also suffering.

Uniqlo interestingly initially did not close down their 49 stores in the country since they recognize the fact that clothes are a necessity. It did not take them too long to realize that they should do what is best for business. IKEA also ceased operations with regards to their stores on adulttimecoupon.com there as we begin to brace for the fact that this war could take months or even years. Besides, some Ukraine soldiers are on the defense and Boris Johnson even paid them a visit which tells everyone how kind of a soul this person is. The Ukraine president also did visits of his own.
